AUGUSTA COUNTY SPUDATHON POSTPONED – NEW DATE TBD

With regret we have to announce that the SPUDATHON scheduled to take place on National Potato Day, August 19, has been cancelled. Event planners will announce a new date still to be determined.

The event – a family fun outing at the Augusta Expo – will feature games, including Potato Cannon Competitions, potato sack races, and potato hunts, with proceeds going to:

  • The Augusta, Staunton, and Waynesboro Area Schools Food Program through direct donation
  • The Blue Ridge Area Food Bank. Attendees who bring a non-perishable food item will get $1 off admission
  • Valley Mission will receive triple the amount of potatoes used in the competitions
  • Michele Edwards will be on hand to compete in the fun and games.

The event will also feature stuffed roasted potatoes with all the fixings and French fries, in addition to local food and beverage trucks.
